Thirty five years ago Pastor Leonard Baxter, pastor at Richland UMC, sketched up some drawings to add an addition to the Richland building and update the facilities.
The members, small in number and short on finances, were not willing to make such a commitment. Today, Pastor Leonard is no longer with us, but his "add-on" dream is, using his drawings as a general layout.
His wife, Joan Baxter, tells about that dream as it comes to fruition in an article on our website.
The project, adding a Fellowship Room, rest rooms and office space is almost complete, and has progressed on a pay-as-you-go basis. The painting, plumbing, and electrical are complete and ready for the flooring.A big HOORAY! for those hardy R-C members!!!
