Pastor Rick sends this report on the trip to Red Bird Mission by the group of "Common Cup" people:
Dear Common Cup:
I thank you for your prayers and support of our recent mission trip to Red Bird in Beverly, KY. The work accomplished will make a lasting difference for Freddie and Sadie Smith. God brought our mission team together and gave us the ability to complete this work. God's presence sustained us throughout our mission trip experience. Here is a list of the work finished during our week at Red Bird.
Replaced two blinds
Removed four layers of carpet in the bedroom and hallway
Laid linoleum flooring in the bedroom and hallway
Custom cut and painted new baseboards in the bedroom and hallway
Painted the bedroom, hallway, and living room
Removed a sagging piece of 2' by 2' ceiling tile
Sheetrock, tape, and mud a new section of ceiling tile
Removed eight broken windows and old caulk
Install eight new windows and caulk
Custom fit and painted new shudders around the windows
Removed two layers of carpet in the living room
Install new carpet in the living room
Replaced the storm door and front door of the house
Remove and replace the kitchen counter top and sink
Patched walls in the closet
Removed old staples, nails, and tack strip from floor
Install flange over linoleum seams
Remove a wallpaper border
Washed ceiling fans and knickknacks
Drove a gentleman (George) to his doctor's appointment and some errands
Installed a false wall at Red Bird campus
Moved furniture at Red Bird campus
Loaded work van for the next mission team
While working with Mrs. Sadie she told us about her upcoming heart surgery on July 14. Please keep her in your prayers. Below is her address.
