Mt. Union College Choir Performance

Here is Ann Ledbetter's report on the superb choral presentation last night:

Mt Union College is a United Methodist supported four year fully accredited liberal arts college in Alliance Ohio. For two weeks the choir will follow the example of our early itinerant Methodist clergy as they travel each day across Ohio and Illinois to present evening concerts.
On Wednesday, January 6, 2010 the Mt. Union College Choir exceeded their advance advertising of presenting a program with something for everybody. Under the direction of Dr. Scott Dorsey, Director of Choral activities, the 54 members of the ensemble presented a fast moving, energetic concert. From age old choral masterpieces, American folk music to the silly and fun the choir presented an entertaining, memorable musical evening.

The Common Cup Council wants to thank all the people that made this memorable and entertaining evening possible:
·        Virginia Pinkerton and her Common Cup volunteers that prepared and served a delicious meal
·        Sherrie Newcomer and Ruth Anderson of Evangelical UMC for providing the reception
·        All the hosts families that provided overnight housing for the choir members
Janet and Gale Adkins; Rosalie and John Beers of Eleazer UMC; Janet Borton; Barbara Bradfute of Christ Episcopal Church and organist for Union UMC; Becki and Wendell Cultice; Joanne and John Fristoe; Marie and John Ford; Rose Marie Guthrie of Union UMC; Flo and Joe Harner; Carolyn and George Knight; Jean McClellan; Barb and Vern Moll; Virginia and Paul Pinkerton; Sandy Pramer; Dawn and Brad Olson; Carol and Glen Shaw; Janet Schellin; Sharon and John Sherer; Joyce and Rick Smith; Debbie and Bruce Spitler; Ingrid and Pete Stephan; Dolores and Dick Strous; Cheryl and Fred Whitican.
·        Marlene Gifford, Joe Scinto, Paul Stark and the all the church staff
We thank God for His blessing of bringing Mt. Union College Choir to FCUM. Our Common Cup Churches provided Open Doors and Open Hearts.
Ann Ledbetter,   Coordinator

To add to Ann's report, the whole event went off beautifully - thanks to how so many people jumped right in and made it happen.
And special thanks to Ann who volunteered to coordinate the the whole thing and did a fine job.
It was very nice that the conductor, Scott Dorsey, made a special point to thank her.
