Men's Breakfast At Otterbein Lebanon Is Coming Up

Otterbein Lebanon Men's fellowship is holding yet another of its annual breakfasts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, in the dining room of their main building.
Many of the area's United Methodist men and men's fellowships have attended this event for many years.
The food is good (with plenty of seconds) served mainly by the resident ladies and some enjoyable toe-tapping singing from the men's chorus. The event is topped of with an excellent speaker, be it Bishop Ough,or a noted seminary profesor or a preacher from Earlham College turned comedian.
This year should be no exception. Rev. Brian Brown, currently teaching pastor at Ginghamsburg UMC and the newly appointed Ohio River Valley District superintendent, will speak at 10 a.m
So get your men's group together, give them a call  by Mar.9th and let them know how many are in your group.
Here's the scoop:

Annual Bean Soup Supper At Evangelical UMC

Our friends at Evangelical UM Church will sponsor their annual Bean soup, Ham, and corn bread dinner on Thursday, February 24 serving from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
They do not make a charge. It is to be a time of fellowship, but  will accept free will offerings.
Doesn't that sound good on one of these cold February nights? What I wouldn't have given for a big helping on the night we lost our electric!

Happenings At Union Church

It is interesting to hear & see the manner in which the various churches teach the Bible to children - sometimes with storytelling, sometimes with music, maybe with a video and even with games.

How about this one for uniqueness?  Union UMC makes an annual mystery trip for the kids. On the trip, the children have no idea where they're going - but start getting clues requiring knowledge of their Bible lessons. Pretty neat!
Click HERE to check out the event.

Union church is also practicing Radical Hospitality with their upcoming Ministry of Transformation. They are partnering with Oak Creek Church of Christ (Kettering) celebrating the coming together with the Brazilian community in a family worship service.
