Youth Group Bazaar A Success

The Faith Community Fall Youth Bazaar was held this past Friday and Saturday.
The Youth & their leaders did a great job assembling and managing the event.
And a lot of thanks need to go out to the vendors who agreed to come to make it a successful venture.

You can view some photos of the event in our website's Photo Gallery. Click HERE.

Also, a reminder that there will be no Food Court this Wednesday night so that you can get a running start on Thanksgiving!

And speaking of Thanksgiving:
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving day !

Youth To Hold Fall Bazaar At FCUMC

The Fall Youth Bazaar at Faith Community Church is happening this Friday (4-8pm) and Saturday (9am-5pm). It will be held in the Community Center at the church.

This is going to be a first rate event with  vendors there with kitchen & household wares, cosmetics, books & cards, jewelry, candles, and art items by local artisans.

And of course, Christmas items.

You can also find homemade candies and Ukrainian Eggs (I have no clue on the eggs....)

Food will also be present on the premises, as well as-YEP- Santa Claus. He'll be available for pictures with the tikes (young and old)!

And how about an old fashioned Cake Cookie Walk?  They've got that too.

There is a flyer available with all the details. Download it by clicking Here.

The Youth would be pleased if you would print a flyer and post it at your church.

Mt. Union College Choir To Perform At A Common Cup Event

On Wednesday, January 6, 2010, The Common Cup Wednesday night activity will feature a special event.

The well known Mt. Union College Choir will perform in concert following the regular Food Court meal.

The free concert, arranged by the Common Cup Council and Pastor Olson, will be held in the sanctuary at 7:00 pm.

The Mt. Union choir is among the nation's oldest collegiate choirs, tracing its roots to 1896.   They travel extensively and have performed not only at the White House, but in prestigious performances around the world. They also have performed before three separate global gatherings of the United Methodist Church.

A free will offering is planned for the event.

Be sure to mark your calendar for this one.

No More Standing In Line On Wednesday!

Good News for those who do not like to stand in line on Wednesday night at the Food Court!

Virginia and her staff are installing a new procedure starting next Wednesday night. It goes something like this:

Instead of standing in line to fill your tray, you will enter and pay the cashier (Ann or Phyllis), receive a numbered ticket and take a seat at any table. If you like, you can get your beverage and be sipping on it as you sit and wait for your number to be called.

When Ann/Phyllis calls your number, your called numbers can proceed to the serving line.
Hopefully, things will run smoothly.
This arrangement will continue through the rest of the year.
If you find that you like it, then it will be the ongoing arrangement.

We would like to hear what you think about the "Take a Number" idea.

(At the end of thi message, you will see the word "comments" .
Click on "comments" to add your comment)
